Who Is Sean Tyas - Trance DJ and Producer

Sean Tyas one of trance scene’s best DJ / producer who lives in Switzerland, however that was not always the case for this New York native. He’s been known for filling dance floor with a variety of hard driving tracks to melodic harmonic trance sounds that get people jumping and grooving.

Tyas started back in 1999 where he spun his first DJ set on a pair of Technic 1200s, and became familiar with how to mix dance music for fun. Playing around was not good enough for Sean Tyas as his love for the music drove him to set up his own music production studio and he began to produce records on top of Djing. At age 26, he had remixes for artist like Christina Aguilera, Pink, Moby, and PPK under his belt, while Djing professionally at clubs in New York city like Exit and Shelter.

Again, setting his sights higher Sean Tyas moved to Europe where trance / dance music is substantially more popular. The move to Europe turn out to be a prosperous move for Tyas, where he supported DJ Beam of Germany by producing music for DJ Beam’s sets. The experience of producing music over the years for another DJ’s set had brought Sean Tyas’s dance music production skills to a much higher level. He eventually broke out on his own and focused on his own productions and remixes, as a result his tracks were praised and was shortly signed to Afterglow recording with John Askew and Dave Joy remixes. Other remixes put him on some of the highest ranked playlist of DJs such as Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk.

Another huge remix Sean Tyas did was the remix of Beam - “On Your Mind”, this track was a big success in the clubs where Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk and John ‘O’ Callaghan constantly showcase it. This sealed the deal for Sean Tyas as one of the most talented producers in the trance genre.

As a DJ, Sean was a natural, and by year 2008 he has already performed in over 30 countries spread across 5 continents. As 2009 comes around, Sean will now be getting back to the studio to focus on his original productions, and develop more as a production artist.
